Miss Saint Germain signed the open letter for a sustainable alternative to Black Friday.

Why? Because we keep hope!  

If France has signed the Paris Agreements, and undertakes to limit global warming to +1.5°C and to halve our CO2 emissions by 2030, by 4 by 2050; the role of the state is immense,

but it is also up to all of us to participate, citizens and companies alike.  

Voluntarily, we have chosen not to have Black Friday, which for 78% of French people is associated with an "operation contributing to overconsumption".

Consume YES, but in a thoughtful way. Mademoiselle Saint Germain, through her brand-specific DNA, advocates local consumption.

#1. Our concern: our carbon footprint. We only use French ingredients, we ban any ingredient that comes from all over the world, even natural,

#2. We use recyclable and recycled French packs. We are currently working on the charging proposal for our customers, to follow.

#3. Of course, we manufacture all our treatments in France, in Lower Normandy, and in Vaucluse.

The Mademoiselle Saint Germain product line is short, and provides the essentials for your well-being. No need to superimpose several treatments, it will not be more effective.

It is true that sometimes we make commercial offers; but we are a nascent brand, we need to discover the products and make ourselves known. But we make sure that our commercial operations are never aggressive, so as never to force over-consumption.

Let's turn the Paris Agreements into action.

FOCUS ON THE COLLECTIVE

Initiated in the 1950s in the USA, Black Friday settled in France in 2013. At the end of November following Thanksgiving, the brands offer astronomical discounts to sell off unsold goods after the holidays. 

It doesn't make sense in France. 

It comes a month before Christmas, in the middle of the sales season. Its strong one-off promotions push consumers to overconsumption by tempting them in a very short time. 

Consumption has an impact on the climate. Consume when we really need it

While scientists are warning about the need to limit global warming to +1.5°C before 2030, restoring healthier consumption bases appears to be a priority.

We exist to find an alternative to Black Friday.

We rather encourage that day to sort through our cupboards: repair, donate, resell or recycle superfluous objects in order to become aware of what we really need on a daily basis. 

Let's consume when we have a real need, without excess.
